The 186-foot-tall falls are the signature of Toccoa Falls College. A stream flows from the base of the falls through the lower section of the 11,000-acre wooded campus.
THE HIKE: There isn't one. It's a stroll along a sidewalk for a few hundred feet.
SIGHTS AND SOUNDS: Toccoa Falls, 10 feet taller than Niagara Falls, takes a spectacular vertical drop into a rocky pool. The falls are subject to campus regulations.
FEES, HOURS: $1 adults; 50 cents senior citizens; free for children 12 and younger. Open dawn until dusk daily. 706-886-7299, Ext. 5215.
WHERE: Just off Ga. 17 on the campus north of Toccoa. Follow the signs to the campus.
